Reiki is energy work that calms the emotional body. This is a quiet treatment that allows the client to drift off into a deep sleep and feel a sense of profound peace. The practitioner lays hands on or above different body organs: heart, liver, pancreas, or head, neck, back, feet. The practitioner senses areas of congestion or blocked energy patterns and facilitates to unblock the congestion and return the flow of energy throughout the body. Reiki believes that dis ease appears upon the emotional body first then maps onto the physical body. Reiki returns the body into its original state of balance and brings a sense of peace and serenity.
